Melba is an Occupational Therapist with over 11 years of clinical experience providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention for adults and older adults. Her practice has spanned across the healthcare continuum including in the acute, subacute and community settings, where she has gained extensive knowledge supporting individuals with complex, multi-diagnostic conditions that impact daily function and overall wellbeing.

 Melba has experience working with a broad range of conditions, including neurological disorders (such as Acquired Brain Injury, Parkinson’s disease and Motor Neuron Disease), cognitive impairment and dementia, chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, palliative diagnoses and complex psychosocial presentations. Her clinical background provides a well-developed understanding of functional decline, recovery trajectories and long-term/progressive condition management.

 Melba is skilled in preparing clear, concise and comprehensive reports tailored to a range of stakeholders. She demonstrates strong clinical reasoning and attention to detail, ensuring her assessments provide an accurate and objective representation of an individual’s functional abilities and support needs.
