Lauren is a skilled Occupational Therapist with almost 20 years’ experience providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention services to adolescents, adults and older adults. Her experience includes inpatient, outpatient and community settings in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Lauren’s extensive clinical experience has enabled her to develop an in depth understanding of the impact of various conditions on an individual’s daily function at different life stages. This includes a high level understanding of the expected trajectory of degenerative conditions.
Lauren’s experience covers a wide range of medical conditions, disabilities and injuries including complex presentations of multiple diagnoses impacting function. These include psychosocial disabilities, acquired brain injury, various forms of dementia, intellectual disability, neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and rare neurological conditions such as Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder and Rhett Syndrome.
Lauren has worked with NDIS participants since 2018 completing detailed FCA, SDA, SIL, AT and Home Modifications assessments and reports. Lauren prides herself on attention to detail which enables her to provide a thorough and clear representation of each individual’s function and needs.
Lauren has a calm and warm approach which puts people at ease and establishes a supportive and relaxed environment in which the assessment process can unfold. Lauren has experience working with people from many different backgrounds and actively strives to provide a service that is culturally sensitive, gender-affirming and neuro-affirming.
